Donor Recognition for the "Breaking New Ground" Campaign

Donor Wall

Walking into the new WSHU Media Center, visitors will notice a dramatic change from the broadcast studios that they have visited on past station tours. In addition to spacious hallways filled with up-to-date production booths, editing rooms and meeting spaces and natural light flooding the reception foyer, they will see the names of our generous donors to the “Breaking New Ground” campaign on plaques and displays throughout the new building.

The "Breaking New Ground" campaign for the new facility provided an opportunity for WSHU Public Radio to plan a donor recognition area as a centerpiece of the main entry to the new Media Center. As visitors walk into the building, the first thing that they will see are the names of the donors who have made campaign gifts of $5,000 and more.

Donors of $100,000 or more, who have chosen to name specific rooms and spaces, will also be recognized with plaques at the entry to each named space. With many of the new Media Center spaces already named, a few spaces are still available for donor consideration.

WSHU Public Radio General Manager George Lombardi stated, “So many of our donors both on Long Island and in Connecticut have loyally supported the station for decades and now have stretched to make this much-needed and overdue facility a reality. We look forward to building out this dramatic design in the entry space to thank them in such a visible and permanent way for their support. If you are just now considering your own personal role in our campaign, we invite you to add your name to this honor roll of our local and regional partners in public radio.”

We proudly give thanks to the following generous donors who have made the "Breaking New Ground" campaign such a success.
